Simply Soft Play MK Bouncy Castle - Terms & Conditions of Hire

By booking and hiring any bouncy castle equipment supplied and delivered by Simply Soft Play MK, you agree to our Terms & Conditions of hire as set out below: 

Agreement Terminology in this agreement:

“You” “Your” or “The Hirer”: Refers to the individual or entity responsible for the completion and confirmation of any booking that is located at the specified delivery and set-up address given on the booking form.

“Us” “We” “Our” or “Simply Soft Play MK” or ”SSPMK”: Refers to the equipment supplier, responsible for providing the equipment for hire as requested and paid for, and also any other service/s as may be outlined in the booking form agreement. 

Booking & Cancellation

To check the availability of your desired date and additional equipment required, contact us via telephone, email, or utilise the booking enquiry form on our website. 

When completing the booking form on our website, please ensure you select the appropriate hirer details, dates, and time required. 

All bookings will be initially confirmed by Simply Soft Play MK by telephone or email upon the receipt of a completed Booking Form. 

A deposit is required to secure any desired booking, and upon any approved booking confirmation by us. The deposit is fully refundable upon all hire equipment being collected undamaged and in a clean and re-usable condition. A deposit receipt by email will be provided. This deposit will be returned (by the same payment method) once the hire is over, and the equipment has been collected and checked as undamaged, and un-soiled. 

Our bouncy castle hire deposit rates are set out as below: 

The hire cost is £80.00 per day for large (daylight hours only for outside use), and a £50.00 deposit is required.

The hire cost is £60.00 per day for small (daylight hours only for outside use), and a £50.00 deposit is required.

We DO NOT set up bouncy castles on any second floor venue, or venues with a stair or staircase access due to the castle transportation size and weight. A Level and un-restricted access is required at all times.

In the event of any damaged or soiled equipment  (photographs will be taken for evidence), the deposit paid then becomes non-refundable, and any repair or cleaning cost exceeding the deposit amount paid will also be payable and invoiced separately. Please notify Simply Soft Play MK immediately should any issues occur during the Hire. Simply Soft Play MK staff will assess the issue and agree on a appropriate course of action with the Hirer.

 An itemised invoice may be sent after the hire if repair or cleaning costs exceed the deposit amount including any loss suffered for any subsequent hire booking made. Any loss or replacement costs will be additionally charged to the Hirer.

 Full payment is due seven days before the confirmed Hire date and a payment receipt will be provided in addition to the deposit receipt. Payment can be made by direct bank transfer, PayPal, or PayPal guest by using a Debit/Credit Card.

 In the event of any cancellation made 7 days or less before the hire date, the deposit is forfeited as it is non-refundable. If 14 days or more cancellation notice is given, the deposit can either be transferred for re-booking on another day (subject to availability), or refunded in full.

 Any changes to the booking must be communicated in writing via email and agreed upon by Simply Soft Play MK before the Hire commences.

 All prices are subject to change at any time, but this excludes any confirmed bookings with a deposit paid in full.

 If Simply Soft Play MK cancels the booking (excluding reasons beyond our control), a full refund will be issued.

 We cannot guarantee the weather, and therefore Hirer’s will be responsible for cleaning/drying any equipment before the pre-arranged collection.

 Simply Soft Play MK Bouncy Castle hire Package price includes the equipment hire for 1 day, (daylight hours only for outside use) (not including our setup and takedown times), unless otherwise specified or agreed by Simply Soft Play MK.

Child safety is of paramount importance when hiring and using any bouncy castle, and we strictly follow government HSE guidelines and regulations. To enable us ensure safe and incident free use, and the hire of the equipment for others to enjoy, there are NO exceptions to the following hire rules 1-15 below. All hirers contractually agree to these SSPMK Terms & Conditions of hire as set out in rules 1-15 below, and therefore any damage to a hired castle caused due to the failure to follow these usage rules (other than any unforeseen equipment failure or breakdown) will result in forfeit of deposit paid, will possibly incur additional charges. The hirer also agrees to incur any additional (and possibly expensive) repair or cleaning charges due to any other misuse. The Bouncy Castles are PIPA tested and registered each year and conform to British Standard BS EN 14960. 

1.       The Bouncy Castle MUST be supervised by a responsible adult at ALL times when inflated and when in use. 

2.       Inflating/deflating can only be carried out by an SSPMK member of staff except in (15) below for obvious safety reasons. 

3.       No food, drink, sweets, or chewing/bubble gum allowed. 

4.       No smoking or vaping on or near any of the equipment.

5.       No children over 16 years allowed on the large castle, unless adults are sensibly accompanying or assisting a child. 

6.       No child or adult over 14 stone (88.9kg) are allowed to use the large bouncy castle at any time. 

7.       No climbing on, or laying on internal castle walls or slides. 

8.       No shoes, pens, paint, party poppers, aerosol streamers, water, & water guns, stickers, badges, plastic toys, sharp objects (and/or in pockets), glasses, or loose jewellery is not allowed. 

9.       Large Castle: A maximum of 15 small children, or 8 larger children at any one time. No mixing of child sizes. 

9 (a). Small Castle: A maximum of 8 small children, or 4 larger children at any one time. No mixing of child sizes.

10.   Absolutely NO children allowed near the blower (inflating) unit, blower fill tube, electrical power point/s, (or petrol generator if one is installed). In case of any power failure, breakdown, resulting in the castle to deflate, please call SSPMK on 07871 070906 and DO NOT allow anyone to use, or be on or near, any of the equipment. 

11.   SSPMK will check wind levels before inflating, and remotely during hire, and if deemed too high (24mph or over), another date will be offered or a full/partial refund given depending on length of any prior hire usage. Please randomly check the support pegs remain firm and secure at all times during the hire if the bouncy castle is outside. 

12.   Should any injury using the castle be deemed as serious, DO NOT attempt to deflate or turn off the castle, and call 999 and ask for urgent medical assistance immediately.

13.   Anybody supervising who is pregnant, or any child with any back, or any limb injury should not use the bouncy castles. 

14.   Under NO circumstances should the bouncy castles or any associated equipment be re-positioned at any time during the hire period. SSPMK will agree the set up position with the hirer beforehand. 

15.   ONLY if rain should unexpectedly occur during outside hire use can the bouncy castle equipment be turned off and then back on (only if safe to do so), and the power disconnected allowing the castle to deflate safely in it’s current position. DO NOT allow anyone to be in or on a bouncy castle during the inflation or deflation process as this can be EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and may cause suffocation or serious injury. Please leave the castle hired deflated and disconnected in position should any rain persist. A waterproof cover should be placed over the inflating blower unit and also any disconnected electrical connections exposed to rain, so to prevent any electric shock or rain water damage occurring.

Delivery, Setup, and Collection

It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that the site measurements are adequate for the selected hire (11’d x 17’w x 11’h) and that there is sufficient space around the equipment, and at least a minimum of 3’ at the rear for the inflating pump. If adequate space is not available at the venue site for the ordered package/s, the original hire deposit and hire charge/s will still apply, and certain items of the equipment hire package ordered may be reduced, or possibly the entire hire order refused for safety and insurance reasons. 

Please allocate the following times upon hire: 

Simply Soft Play MK will deliver your chosen equipment to your venue at least 45 minutes before the event and pick up at least 15 minutes after the event. The Hirer is responsible for preparing access for the equipment collection at the agreed collection time.  

IMORTANT INFORMATION:

Please inform us before booking of ANY parking, access/road restrictions, height restrictions, or if there isn’t parking directly outside the venue. Please if possible arrange for near parking and/or easy access for a LWB van. Bouncy castles are bulky and heavy, therefore in doing so it will enable us to be prepared, deliver and set-up on time and not cause any delays. It is the sole responsibility of the Hirer to ensure easy access to the venue for unloading and loading of equipment. Any restrictions that become in force after booking such as lack of access or parking, or due to road works must be reported to Simply Soft Play MK before delivery and collection. Simply Soft Play MK only set-up and deliver to ground floor venues. 

Hire cost includes free delivery to venues within 20 miles of Newport Pagnell. Venues beyond 20 miles will incur a 50p per mile delivery fee; please contact us for any cost calculation. 

We will strive to deliver on time, but Simply Soft Play MK will not be held responsible for delays due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic or access restriction problems, or adverse weather conditions. 

Should Simply Soft Play MK fail to deliver on the day of the booking for any reason (excluding delivery time delays), a full booking refund will be given. 

It will be the responsibility of the hirer to ensure someone is present at the delivery and collection location date and time. Failure for Simply Soft Play MK to be able to deliver or collect equipment hired as prior arranged will be additionally charged pro rata until delivered/collected.

The bouncy castle is ONLY to be used in a outside space between the May & September months. 

All bouncy castle outdoor hirers should BE AWARE that for outdoor use the vinyl and mats can become very hot in the sun, therefore the bouncy castle can possibly become too hot for a child’s safe use and could cause burns. 

The bouncy castle MUST be set up on a clean flat grassed area with adequate space around, and clear of any sharp stones or objects. For domestic (home) and booked venue hire, a 240v power supply must be readily available. 

We do not accept responsibility for accidents, injuries, or damages for equipment that is misused during the hire period, and recommend that the Hirer obtains their own liability insurance for coverage of hire.

Failure to comply with any of these Terms & Conditions will result in deposit forfeiture.  

Health & Safety

It is the responsibility of the person hiring our bouncy castles to ensure safety, avoid injury, or any damage. Please note and adhere to our Safety Instructions listed above. 

The bouncy castle has a general age limit of 2 -16 years old. Please ensure that no one over 16 years of age uses the equipment unless a adult supervisor is required.  

Children must NOT engage in aggressive or harmful behaviour. 

General

Report any damage caused to the equipment as soon as possible, additional fees may apply. 

The Hirer is responsible for any soiling cleaning, equipment loss, or damage during the Hire Period and will be charged accordingly. 

Simply Soft Play MK is covered by Public Liability Insurance, and a copy of this insurance is available upon request. 

Disclaimer

Please be aware that all individuals using our equipment do so at their own risk, and have agreed to these Terms & Conditions of hire at the point of initial booking. The person or organisation hiring the equipment ordered has agreed to be responsible and liable for any damage or injury resulting from misuse, reckless use, or failing to adhere to our Health & Safety hire guidelines. These guidelines are established for the safety of all users of the equipment, and it is the sole responsibility of the Hirer to ensure compliance with these terms of hire.

Our Terms & Conditions are subject to any changes required by law, pricing, or hire equipment updates required.
